CRAYON AI
Crayon AI works in two modes. Run mode answers questions about live business data and carries out actions such as rescheduling a booking or messaging a customer. Change mode adjusts the software itself: wording, labels and settings. Both modes propose first and act only after a person confirms, and every change is logged and reversible.
TWO MODES, ONE PLACE
RUN MODE
Run mode reads your live schedule, customers and invoices, and can act on them. You ask in plain language. It proposes exactly what it's about to do, and nothing happens until you tap confirm.
"Which jobs tomorrow are still unassigned?"
Answers straight from the schedule: three jobs, times, addresses, no one allocated.
"Move the Parnell clean to Thursday and tell the customer."
Two actions in one request. Both are shown to you before either happens.
"Chase the invoices over 30 days."
Drafts the reminders, lists who's getting one, sends only on your say-so.
IT PROPOSES · YOU TAP · IT HAPPENS
CHANGE MODE
This is the part other business software doesn't do. Type the instruction on the left. The platform on the right is what your team and your customers will see.
Rename anything the software calls something. "Clients" becomes "customers" in every screen, email and invoice at once.
Change what a job captures. Add a gate code field, make a note required, reorder what the crew sees first.
Switch behaviour on or off. Reminder texts, deposits, cancellation windows, which modules your team can see.
WHAT'S IN SCOPE
Wording and labels, the fields on a job, pricing rules and extras, automation settings, which modules are switched on, and who on your team can see what. These apply directly, once you confirm.
Ask for something outside those bounds, a new integration or a screen that doesn't exist yet, and Crayon says so plainly, then turns the request into a priced ticket with a fixed quote and a timeframe. You approve it or you don't. It's never a dead end, and it's never a silent failure.
TRUST
An assistant with access to your schedule, your customers and your money needs limits. Here are Crayon's, in plain words.
The AI inherits the permissions of the person using it. A cleaner asking about their day gets their day. It cannot show someone information their login doesn't already give them.
Every action and every change is proposed first, written out in full, and waits for a person to confirm it. Nothing is sent, moved, charged or renamed on its own initiative.
Each request records who asked, what was proposed, who confirmed it and when. The log is yours to read, so an unexpected change always has an answer.
Configuration is data, so a change can be rolled back to how it was. Try a new booking rule for a fortnight and revert it if the team hates it.
CREDITS
Run mode is part of your plan. Ask it about your schedule, your customers and your invoices as often as you like. That's day-to-day use, and it isn't counted.
Change mode uses credits, because each change is a real alteration to your platform. Crayon prices the change in credits and shows you the number before you confirm. If you don't confirm, it costs nothing.
See credits and pricing →Twenty minutes. Ask for something in the demo and watch the platform change in front of you.
